Abstract
This paper evaluates the effectiveness of Ethrel Plant Regulator as a chemical ripener for sugarcane in Colombia through two experiments at a sugar mill. The experiments demonstrated significant improvement in cane quality and sugar production with Ethrel treatment. Various application techniques and combinations are explored, showcasing the impact on different sugarcane varieties. The study emphasizes the physiological responses of sugarcane to stress and the potential for enhanced productivity through plant growth regulators.
